Key Optical Performance
- Nominal magnification: 5×
- Effective divergence reduction: ~5× (dependent on input beam quality and focus adjustment)
- Output beam diameter: ~5× larger than input beam
- Dramatically increased Rayleigh range and visible beam distance in atmospheric conditions
- Fully adjustable focus (variable collimation) for optimizing beam waist position from ~0.5 m to infinity
Mechanical Construction
- Housing material: Stainless steel (high durability, corrosion-resistant, excellent thermal stability)
- Thread: M11.5 × 0.5 mm (direct fit on many popular high-power handheld hosts)
- Weight: ~180 g
- Dimensions: 42 x 70mm
Compatibility & Optional Adapters
- Optional Lens Adapter available: M11.5 × 0.5 mm (female) → M9 × 0.5 mm (female) for use with common focusing lenses and G-series optics
- Optional Thread Extender available for recessed-lens hosts (e.g., certain Sanwu, Jetlasers, and similar models with deep-set output lenses)
This is a true Keplerian beam expander and requires an already well-collimated input beam to function correctly. It must be attached to a laser that already has a collimating or focusing lens in place — it will not collimate a raw diode beam by itself.
- Extreme-range visible light laser pointing (night sky, mountain-to-mountain)
- Enhanced burning capability at distance
- Astronomy and star pointing
- Search & rescue signaling
- Long-distance beam visibility photography
Upgrade your handheld laser’s performance with professional-grade beam expansion — achieve tighter divergence and dramatically longer visible/range-limited distances.
